Account Manager

Posted on September 16, 2019 by

In the ad world, the best account managers are not unlike talented circus performers. At any given moment, they could have multiple “plates” spinning in the air — things like budgets, timelines, client calls, and meetings. And with all eyes on their routine, they thrive on keeping it all from crashing down. We’re looking for someone just like that: someone who can keep their cool in a fast-paced environment, all while delighting our clients with professional, top-notch service. If you think of yourself (figuratively of course) as a super-skilled plate spinner we’d like to pick your brain.

Simply put, we are looking for an organized and experienced Account Manager to join the zag fam. Our ideal new hire will have 3 to 5 years of experience working in the marketing world, with bonus points for time spent in an agency setting. Our new hire will be a pro at organization and multi-tasking. Our account team handles multiple clients, which means ongoing project management, coordinating resources, budgeting, and sometimes finding ways to make the impossible possible. We’re looking not for a problem solver, but a problem anticipator. Ready to dive in even more? Here are a few of the other ways you’ll help us:

  • Participate in client meetings and strategic planning sessions
  • Support new business by assisting with estimates and proposals for prospective clients
  • Develop clear actions with appropriate deadlines for client deliverables
  • Liaise with media and suppliers to plan and develop media buys
  • Review client time reports on a monthly basis to ensure projects and retainers are on budget

Our team is smart, dynamic, and just the right amount of badass. We work hard, play hard, and welcome newbies into the mix with open arms. If you’ve got the skills, the savvy, and the swagger to succeed in this position, send your resume to Rebecca Edwards at and tell us why you are our next great hire.

Short-listed applicants will be contacted for interviews.

Strategists know that it’s not just about the what. It’s about the who, when, where, why, and everything in between. It’s about what makes people tick, what will prompt decisions, change mindsets, and forge a pathway to the heart.

We are looking to add an experienced strategist to our team. This is someone who can weave straw into gold by unearthing and transforming insights into strategic initiatives that break through the clutter, get people talking, and ignite excitement.

zag creative is a busy marketing firm. Of course, in any fast-paced environment, demands can run high and excellence is expected (don’t worry – we like to have fun too, trust us). Our ideal candidate is a strategic jack-of-all-trades. You know how to create clever marketing and communications plans that not only achieve goals, but blow minds. Key messages, target audiences, and go-to-market activations are your bread and butter. You should like working on a team, but also excel independently. And your communication skills, well, those just go without saying (or do they?).

Tell us how you are everything we are looking for and more. The ideal candidate will have 3 – 5 years under their belt, experience working at other agencies or firms, copywriting know-how, and an eagle eye for all things words (punctuation, spelling, etc.). Heck, you may even have had an idea that changed the world.
