zag creative embarked on a one year project to set up the sales and marketing team at DNAinfo Chicago, a news outlet with a number of neighborhood-targeted advertising mediums. This included the development of all the sales materials, processes and infrastructure pieces.
Our team directed how to price and market the product offerings and provided recommendations on new offerings and structure. This included print and online advertising as well as online radio and various social media offerings. We hired and trained the sales team and developed the internal processes needed to ensure product delivery and integration with other departments.
At the end of the contract term, we had grown the sales department from three people to 30 and were able to pass off the team off to an internal VP Sales and Marketing.
