Halloween is just around the corner and this is the time of year when I am always reminded how much I like candy. Now I don’t go out of my way to buy it but when it’s around…oh, I will eat it.
My favourites are red liquorice, chocolate covered raisins, hard candies, soft candies, pretty much any and all chocolate bars. Oh and M&M’s.
Turns out, I’m not the only one who loves candy.
I read recently how in eastern France, beekeepers in that region launched an investigation after their honey started to show up blue and green. They are concerned that these mystery colours were making their honey unsellable. They could not figure out why was this happening.
The mystery was solved when they discovered that instead of the bees pollinating flowers in their local fields, those rascally little fellas were migrating more than 4km away and feasting on M&M’s at a nearby biogas plant processing waste from a chocolate factory. Check out the buzz here. (Sorry, it was low hanging fruit. I had to).
Now that’s funny.
I don’t know about you, but I would pay for blue or green honey.
