Production Designer

We wanted to post for an Executioner because it sounds pretty cool but we were also a little afraid at the resumes we might see, so Production Designer it is.

zag creative is looking for a someone that can support our design team in the execution of campaign creative, collateral materials, and design projects of all shapes and sizes. The primary responsibility of this role would be to take creative from initial design to production-ready.

Candidates should demonstrate:

  • Ability to accurately prepare and send files for production
  • Proficiency in Adobe CC and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to communicate effectively and present ideas efficiently
  • High level of initiative and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Things that are good to have but not a necessity:

  • Experience with After Effects and WordPress

Part-Time Administrative Coordinator (Summer Position)

We’re looking for a pre-prepared individual to act as the face of zag creative at our front desk over the next three months. We’re in need of an experienced administrator that eats, sleeps and breathes planning and organization.

This organization will be key to keeping the office running but also for being able to jump in and help our highly organized client services team, as these are the kind of people with alphabetized kitchen cabinets. For real.

Social Media Strategist

Account Manager

In the ad world, the best account managers are not unlike talented circus performers. At any given moment, they could have multiple “plates” spinning in the air — things like budgets, timelines, client calls, and a busy schedule. And with all eyes on their routine, they thrive on keeping it all from crashing down. We’re looking for someone just like that, who can keep their cool in a fast-paced environment. We are looking to add an experienced strategist to our team. This is someone who can weave straw into gold by unearthing and transforming insights into strategic initiatives that break through the clutter, get people talking, and ignite excitement.

Creative Copywriter

Copywriters at zag creative are masters of their craft. They love language, understand the spaces they’re working within, and are probably critiquing billboards on their way to the office. They’re also strategic thinkers who work hand-in-hand with our design, digital, and strategy team to ensure they’re creating copy that rises above (and quite frankly, demolishes) any challenge.

We’re looking for a talented creative copywriter to join our growing team. You know how to create content for many different types of clients across a variety of spaces, and are able to change your voice for all of them. From website content to social media executions, radio scripts, or brochures, it’s all about creating great copy with confidence. Heck, you know what you’re doing and can back it up any day to anyone. 

Our ideal candidate is great with concepts and creative writing, has an understanding of the Canadian Press Stylebook, and a knack for all forms of copy. You’re a natural storyteller with an eagle eye. You don’t skip a beat when it comes to attention to detail, and can pick out a commonly misspelled word from a mile away. It’s just all in a day’s work.

What the gig would entail:

  • Develop, edit and proof copy for various client projects as required (including but not limited to print ad copy, press releases, social media, brochure copy, radio scripts, television scripts, sales pieces, web copy, online ad copy, etc.)
  • Prepare concept overviews for clients
  • Participate in and help facilitate client discovery sessions / larger meetings
  • Participate in internal brainstorming sessions and creative concept development
  • Work in conjunction with the Creative Department to ensure materials developed maintain consistency, creative vision, and strategy
  • Proofing creative materials and written documents
  • Participate in the development and presentation of client pitches
  • Assisting with photo and video shoots as required
  • Correspondence with clients and maintaining client contacts, as directed
  • Work on developing creative concepts and content for internal communications materials such as the zag creative website, promotional pieces, etc.

Social Media Coordinator (1-Year Mat Leave)

At zag creative, social media really is life. It’s also really a job.

We’re looking to hire a Social Media Coordinator for a maternity leave position to cover social media monitoring and responding for a variety of clients on evenings, weekends, and holidays. The position requires 20 hours a week, split between evenings and weekends with one half day in the office.

The Social Media Coordinator will need to be a quick communicator with their phone never out of reach. The person best suited for this position must be able to adapt to changing styles and tones to best represent client brands on a variety of platforms. The ability to communicate clearly, concisely and typo-free is key. While there will be limited content development required, the ability to develop engaging content will be an asset.
